Tea leaves hold a wonderful plethora of aromatic and unique flavours similar to hops but in a much softer, subtle nature, this is an experiment in using those flavours in a strong Triple IPA.
Using cold steeped Ceylon tea leaves we’ve blended this delicate profile with the intensity of our sticky strong Triple IPA base to weave intricate layers of bright lemon citrus and spiced wood. In order to elevate all these flavours a huge dose of Loral and Motueka hops, added in the dry hop to further lift the citrus profile.
Loral provides floral, herbal and slightly citrussy flavours work to elevate Ceylon's own light citrus and spice. Tripling up the citrus is New Zealand favourite Motueka, giving lemon-lime, tropical fruit and a herbal punch akin to basil and rosemary.
As always with our TIPAs we keep the body thick, chewy and sticky-sweet with help from the honey-like undertones of the Ceylon tea.
This is a dual Triple IPA release, with Yeah Bro, which focuses on New Zealand hops.
