Due to this position becoming available, we are looking for a People & HR Administrator to join our team at Cloudwater. This position will be a standalone part-time position to conduct HR admin and assist the company in people matters and wellbeing.

We are looking for someone who has small-business experience, and an interest in overseeing and positively contributing towards a healthy and smooth-running business from a people perspective (Administration, Payroll & HR Systems, Employee Relations, Employment Law and Compliance, Recruitment and Selection).

We are looking for someone emotionally intelligent, passionate and caring, committed to the wellbeing of our people, who would like to develop their interest into employee lifecycle development and has a focus on policy development, especially family-friendly policies and practices, and general wellbeing. 

This role is essential for the smooth running and intercommunication between employees and managers to maintain trust and honest relationships.

The following responsibilities are broad, and delineate the general competence necessary to support the people side of Cloudwater, which are listed in terms of priority and not workload.

This role will be responsible for:

HR System

Managing HR system (currently Workforce)

Monitor analyse and communicate HR reports to make informed decisions

Maintaining employee files (electronic and/or paper), check and updating employee records regularly (following GDPR regulations)

Support payroll processing

HR Policies and procedures

Developing, implementing, and modifying company policies and procedures with a special focus on family-friendly leaves and employee wellbeing focus. 

Staying up to date with the labour regulations and make sure the organisation is in compliance with them 

Employee relations 

Supporting employees and management with their issues - answer queries regarding HR or potential HR matters and act as first point of contact for HR queries

Assist and advise Managers on employee relations issues, ensuring procedures are properly followed and paperwork completed and filed

Managing casual, sick, annual, and any other leaves as necessary

Utilise and liaise with FSB support (legal support for small businesses) when deemed necessary

Recruitment

Create and post job ads (and related tasks such as follow up, deletion and storage of past ads) 

Plan, organise and participate in interviews (from a HR perspective) 

Generate offer letters, contracts and other employment-related documentation

Conducting employee onboarding and exit interviews

Essential and desirable skills for this role: 

Good understanding of HR Policy & Practice and current employment legislation (essential)

Proven ability to consistently deliver in a proactive and timely manner (essential)

Reliability in following up and completing tasks and projects

Impeccable organisation skills (essential)

Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all situations (essential)

CIPD/HR qualification or working towards one (desirable but not essential)

This is a part time role  (20-25 hours per week), working between Monday and Friday  from our Brewery head office in central Manchester but open to flexible hours to accommodate external commitments and better align them with business needs.

Role: Taproom Manager 

Location: Cloudwater Taproom, Unit 9, Piccadilly Industrial Est., Manchester M1 2NP

Salary: £28,500 pa

Hours: 37.5 hours a week, including weekends and evening shifts

This role will be a permanent contract.

We are looking for a Taproom Manager to support the Business Development Manager at The Cloudwater Taproom. The ideal candidate would have previous experience in managerial roles and a desire to contribute to the strategy of the bar. Beer knowledge and cellar management experience are both strongly desired, as well as a commitment to maintaining high product quality standards and delivering excellent customer service.

Main duties include:

People Management:
-  Ensure team resourcing across the site is aligned with sales forecasts and specific needs of the site.
-  Responsible for team hiring, performance & training with support from BDM where applicable
-  Training of all staff to ensure a strong team providing outstanding customer service.
-  Training of junior management to undertake ordering, rota
- writing and site management while absent from the role due to Annual Leave or Sickness.
-  Training of Management Team to undertake Brewery Tours and Tastings (if applicable to site)
-  Management and development of staff to support their performance targets. Empowering staff to take ownership of key tasks.
-  Responsible for in-house HR issues with support from People & HR Team and BDM where applicable               
- Regular team meetings to understand successes, any challenges they may have and how to overcome them.   
- Regular meetings with BDM with updates on new initiatives & projects
-  Managing team engagement & morale

Strategy:-  Responsible for meeting and exceeding sales budgets, profits & staff costs as set out by BDM
-  Constantly strive for continuous improvements to the offering based on thorough market research & competitor analysis with support from BDM.
-  Tracking, reviewing & improving department performance (through sales & customer satisfaction data) -  Overarching planning of social media alongside Marketing Team.

-  Self-management of workload, ensuring junior management is trained and able to take on tasks wherever needed.

Compliance:
-  Ensuring compliance across H&S, with support from BDM
-  Food hygiene management (where relevant) with support from BDM
-  Appointed Designated Premises Supervisor of venue

Events:
-  Generating ideas for events and overall business strategy, presenting them to the BDM and taking the lead to implement
-  Assisting Events Programme with in-house events planning where applicable
-  Assisting Events Team with staffing of external events where applicable

Bar:
-  Overarching responsibility for cellar management.
-  Identify areas of improvement across the bar and work with the BDM to develop these
-  Responsible for ordering, stockholding and stock rotation
-  Responsible for addition, review and stocking of new non-beer products where relevant
-  Overarching responsibility for developing and maintaining an organized and logical workflow to ensure the bar runs smoothly and efficiently.
