Role: Packaging Assistant

Location: Cloudwater Brew Co, Piccadilly Industrial Estate, Manchester, M1 2NP

Salary: £25k p.a. Depending on experience

Hours: 37.5 hours a week, including weekends and evening work

This role will be a permanent contract.

We are looking for a driven and reliable person to join our Production Team as Packaging Assistant. The ideal candidates would have some experience in a brewery or production plant-based environment. While not essential an interest in craft beer is preferred. This is a physical role which will require the successful candidate to be able to move weights of up to 60kg.

This position will be based in our brewery in Manchester and reporting to the Brewery Management Team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operation of canning, kegging and bottling lines to meet daily packaging requirements
  • Managing quality assurance processes of packaged beer within the brewery
  • Moving pallets, packaging and product with pallet/forklift truck
  • Accurate record keeping of packaged numbers
  • Assisting with stocktaking and management of packaging materials.
  • Cleaning of packaging equipment, brewery equipment and vessels where appropriate
  • General housekeeping and cleaning of production and cold storage areas
  • Working proactively to further educate yourself on the brewing process

  • Forklift Truck Certified (desirable)

We are looking for a driven, passionate and experienced Brewer to join our Production Team. The ideal candidates will have significant experience in a similar role within the craft beer environment. This position will be based in our brewery in Manchester and reporting to the Brewery Management Team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Wort production through competent operation of brewkit
  • Competency in use of hop gun, centrifuge and decanter
  • CIP of fermentation, transfer and conditioning vessels
  • Reporting any deviation from specifications to Brewery Management Team
  • Accurate record keeping of gravity, pH, ABV, DO, C02 and other measures and reporting to Brewery Management team
  • Assisting with stocktaking and management of raw materials.
  • Monitoring Health & Safety standards and reporting deviations to Brewery Management Team where appropriate
  • General housekeeping and cleaning of production and cold storage areas
  • Working proactively towards continual improvement and deeper understanding of beer

Competencies

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in production brewery operation
  • Ability to work required shifts including weekends where appropriate
  • Enthusiastic, engaging and resilient personality
  • Self-motivated 
  • Great communication, listening and time management skills.
  • Brewing Certification - IBD or equivalent (desirable)
  • Forklift Truck Certified (desirable)

Role: PT Bar Staff (London)

Location: Enid St, London SE19 

Salary/Hourly Rate: £13.15/hour 

Hours: Part Time

Role Overview: 

We are looking for a member of Bar Staff to join our team here at 73 Enid St! This is a part-time position for Saturdays and potentially another shift a week. We’ll reward you with a salary of £13.15 per hour plus tips.

As this position requires serving alcohol, this role is open to those over the age of 18. If you are under 18 then we're happy to accept your application for a barback position (Saturdays only collecting glassware) at £12 per hour. Please check this box on the form!

73 Enid St is the London taproom for the Manchester-based brewery Cloudwater Brew Co. We are situated on the “Bermondsey Beer Mile” and serve up exceptional craft beer from our 20 taps, alongside small batch spirits and natural wine. Your Role Will Include:

  • Collecting empty glasses and running the glasswasher
  • Serving drinks
  • Restocking snacks, drinks and merchandise
  • Providing support to the shift manager
  • Clearing up spillages and broken glass
  • Clean down duties at the end of shift
